Creating a New Take on a Father’s Day Campaign

This Father’s Day we decided to spice things up. We told fans to forget sitting at home watching a golf tournament or going to brunch to celebrate dear ole’ dad. Instead, we gave them a chance to make dad earn his present.

At our Father’s Day eating contest, we gave each dad a $50 gift card just for signing up. Pretty easy win for dad. Then we gave them five minutes to show off their pizza eating skills. The big cheese, the head honcho, the dad who ate the most pizza in 5 minutes received a $25 cash prize. Now we aren’t pointing fingers or anything but a $50 gift card and $250 cash prize probably beats out the cheesy hallmark card and obligatory “#1 Dad” merchandise.

One thing we learned from this event: dads can EAT. The winners from each of the locations locked in some pretty high pizza slice counts for the short amount of time given. Here’s the breakdown:

Bel Air: 15 slices

Huntingdon Valley: 16 slices

Midway: 16 slices

Cherry Hill: 17 slices

Wayne: 27 slices <– WOW

Overall, the team members at each of the participating locations had a blast and we hope the families who chose to spend their day with us did too.

Winner, Winner…Pizza Dinner?
