WordPress Hacks: Our favorite plugins and functions

We create and maintain beautiful WordPress websites using expert skills and advanced tools. Our favorite plugins and functions ensure top website performance, security, and features. Here is a list of some must-have plugins.

Building a site with our favorite plugins

WordPress has its own built-in page builder Block, you can even write your own code to create the pages you want. However, there are also WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editors to make your page design easier and faster. WYSIWYG editors give you more visual options to wow your audience.

  • Elementor

When it comes to choosing the best page builder for your website, Elementor undoubtedly reigns supreme. Our team has extensively researched and tested various page builders, and we can confidently say that Elementor was the clear winner.

One of the main reasons why we recommend Elementor is its user-friendly interface. Even if you’re not a web design expert, you’ll find it easy to create beautiful web pages. Additionally, Elementor offers an impressive range of website-building elements that you can use to customize your website exactly the way you want it.

Another impressive feature is its constant updates. The developers are always working to improve the platform and keep up with the latest web design trends. Recently, Elementor introduced the Container system, which streamlines the website-building process and optimizes website speed and efficiency.

  • Advanced Custom Fields

Similar to WordPress’ built-in Blocks system, Advanced Custom Fields can speed up the page-building process. You can add content fields to your page and even create custom content fields to suit your needs.

Integrate some extras

  • Ultimate Addons

  • Content Views

Elementor tries to have all the effects and presentation options available to the user, but sometimes you are looking for something specific. There are great plugins that can be integrated into your favorite page builder. Try Ultimate Addons for a splash of style to make your site stand out. Content Views is also a great plugin to display your posts in unique ways.

With all of our favorite plugins and functions, every website can be a unique experience!

Must have plugins

  • Yoast

SEO is a must for successful websites. In our humble opinion, the best tool for your website’s SEO is Yoast. It can do a breakdown SEO analysis of your page and gives you suggestions on how to improve it. It guides you on choosing important details such as SEO title, Meta description, and Alt tags for images that will match your focus keyphrase. In addition to their website post tools, Yoast has helpful user guides and videos to make you a certified SEO expert.

  • Redirection

Don’t forget to add Redirection. If a webpage doesn’t exist anymore and someone goes to that address, the user could receive a 404 or 4XX error. Google and other browsers don’t like those and could penalize your website for having too many errors. Redirection can point old URLs to existing pages, creating a better user experience and better SEO scores.

Forms, Forms, Forms

  • Gravity Forms

There are a hundred or so form plugins to choose from. Our favorite plugin for forms is Gravity Forms. It is a powerful tool to collect data, leads, and new clients, and is a great way to grow your business. It is highly customizable with a free and pro version. Ask questions, request information, securely collect data, and complete online payments with custom forms throughout your site. Very handy!

Protect yourself

As a website owner, it’s crucial to prioritize security to ensure that your website is safe from spam and other security threats. The internet is unpredictable, and hackers are constantly finding new ways to access your website. That’s why investing in protective measures can be incredibly beneficial in safeguarding your online presence. Fortunately, there are many tools and plugins available that can provide added protection.

  • CleanTalk

  • Wordfence

A couple of our favorite plugins to protect us are CleanTalk and Wordfence. Cleantalk can protect your site from spambots and spam wherever there is a place for the user to interact with your site. Wordfence is a security plugin that identifies and blocks hackers. One of the reasons we like it is that it has the potential to scale to meet the size of your business.

From anti-spam filters to firewalls, these resources can give you peace of mind and allow you to focus on other aspects of your website.
