Join us for a Social Media Session with the AFP

MD1_ChapterLogoWe’re excited to announce that we will be speaking at the AFP, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Maryland Chapter’s annual Fundraising Day in Maryland on Monday, May 9th, a day-long workshop designed for fundraisers at all levels of experience and in all types of organizations.

Our session, “The latest ways to leverage social media to maximize fundraising success,” will be an interactive panel discussion where we will cover the latest approaches fundraisers are using to integrate social media and other digital components into fundraising campaigns and events to drive success.

The panel will be co-moderated by our owner, Dave Cyphers and Sandra Erbe, a veteran non-profit strategist. In addition, our panelists include:

  • Jeff Davis, Principal, J. Davis Public Relations, co-president Maryland PRSA
  • Kellie Elmerraji, Digital Marketing Director, The Cyphers Agency
  • Bruce Jacobs, Senior Strategic Writer at The Bonner Group
  • Tracy Imm, Public Affairs Director at Maryland Insurance Administration

Our collective depth of non-profit will enable us to share real world examples from larger and smaller non-profits. An important theme we will develop with this diverse panel is that while the resources and tactics may vary with staff and budget size, there are many good approaches available to organizations of all sizes.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned professional, full-time fundraiser or consultant, Fundraising Day in Maryland has the skills-sharpening workshops, topical roundtables, and networking opportunities you need.

Other topics that will be covered during Maryland’s annual Fundraising Day include major gifts, corporate relations and annual giving. There will also be a special Keynote Address with William J. McCarthy, Jr., Executive Director of Catholic Charities and Mary Ann Scully, CEO of Howard Bank to discuss how fundraisers can make our community stronger.

If you can’t make it to our workshop session, you can follow along with our discussion by following #socialgiving on Twitter and join us on Periscope @cyphersadagency.
