A Day in the Life of an Account Coordinator

It’s hard to explain what I do each day because it’s always different. I do a little bit of everything; SEO social media, blog writing, researching and brainstorming are just a few of the things I do on a regular basis. Here’s a glimpse into my world.

My desk is full of pictures of my friends, family, boyfriend and dog. But, my favorite part is my Caps calendar (GO CAPS!).

I start off my morning with a cup of vanilla chai tea and my to do list. I couldn’t live without either of these.

After I get my tea and schedule my day, I do a little social media monitoring.

I usually write a few blogs a week. Today, I was jotting down a few notes for this blog. I usually share my ideas with Kellie then review once I’m finished.

Since it’s the end of the month, I had to schedule social media content for May for a few clients. If you would have caught me last week, I would have been researching and brainstorming content for each client.

Time for lunch! My favorite food is Chinese, so I absolutely love Pei Wei and get it any time I can. I’ve been on a sushi kick lately, so I tried the tempura roll (which was amazing), but my safe bet is the lo main with shrimp (it is my absolute favorite).

Time to get back to work and I usually start off with some afternoon brainstorming! It gets my brain back into the work mode and it’s never a bad time to come up with some social media content for our clients.

I met with part of our team to discuss SEO for a client. We came up with best practices and a game plan so that we’re ready for our meeting with the client next week.

Every day, I spend at least half of my day doing different things for SEO. Today I was updating on-site content with relevant keywords and adding keywords to our tracking reports.

My brain works best in the morning, so during the afternoon I like to take a few breaks and find out what’s going on in the world of social media. Today I took a little break to have fun with Snapchat and the new filters (which I can’t get enough of).

On occasion, I get to go shopping and brainstorm ideas for the “fun committee” events. Next month we’re having a healthy month full of activities and treats! Thanks to Pinterest, we were able to come up with fun activities we can do at work and keep everyone active!

After checking our social media one more time, it’s time to leave! Once I get home, I usually go for a run and am hoping to run a half-marathon sometime soon.
