Greetings dear blog readers! I’m very excited to introduce myself and sincerely hope that we will establish a solid reader-writer bond over the next few months. My name is Ali and I recently joined The Cyphers Agency as the newest Social Media Coordinator. Though my arrival means the departure of the beloved Danielle Destrade Ali, I’m exceptionally thankful of her time in helping me transition and feel comfortable in the position before she departed. We wish her the best of luck as she starts out in her new home of Nashville, TN.
As a member of the Push-n-Pull Team, I’ll be helping our clients spread the word about their overall awesomeness through word of mouth marketing and strategic social media implementation. Prior to working here, I was a Social Media Coordinator for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration in Washington D.C. and served in the US Navy in San Diego, CA and overseas in Japan.
Having grown-up as a military brat, I moved around a bunch but call Reading, Pa home. I am a proud University of Pittsburgh alumna (Hail to Pitt!) with a degree in communications and writing and an avid Steelers fan (Here we go Steelers!). I love running, social media (Pinterest is my fave!), event planning and baking. This fall I’ll be gettin’ hitched to my fiancé, Nick, who is also in the Navy, and we’re planning to live happily ever after with our dog, Arleigh Burke. He’s named for Admiral Arleigh Burke, a famous WWII Navy admiral (yes, we’re Navy nerds).
