Promote Your Restaurant with Google My Business

Promote Your Restaurant with Google My Business

Google My Business https://www.google.com/business/ is offering restaurants a way to promote their menus and get orders for pickup and delivery without charge until January, 2021. Get started with it through your Google My Business listing.

Outdoor Dining

In case you aren’t familiar with what a Google My Business listing is, it’s a free way for  local restaurants to appear in Google search results and map listings when someone searches for a restaurant near them. A Google Business listing allows you to provide details about your restaurant such as address, hours, menu items or link to your menu, reservation information, etc. All you need to do is verify your listing and add information. Keeping your listing up-to-date with special offers can bring even more visitors to your establishment. If your restaurant has multiple locations, you can add all of them under one account.

More Bookings and Online Orders – Your listing can lead to instant bookings or pickup orders – Google has partnerships with third-party booking platforms to let your diners book their reservations easily without needing to visit multiple websites. See the Reserve with Google partners list here – https://www.google.com/maps/reserve/partners

Customers who find your listing through Google maps can order directly from it using your chosen platform. They won’t need to install a separate app! This helps local restaurants who are tired of paying fees to delivery apps like GrubHub and are changing the way they operate due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you don’t have an ordering platform already, Google is now offering one for free. They recently purchased the Ordering.App and are waiving their 1.5% order fee until January 2021 to help support restaurants. Learn more about it here – https://the.ordering.app/
