The Cyphers Agency Elevates Media Strategy Function with Promotion of Tim Wright

Strengthening the agency’s public relations team with proactive, data-driven media relations to meet the evolving demands of today’s earned media landscape.

CROFTON, MD – MARCH 31, 2026 — The Cyphers Agency public relations team deepens its investment in strategic media relations with the promotion of Tim Wright to Media Relations Strategist, formalizing a role designed to meet the increasing demand for proactive, insight-led earned media.

As the media landscape becomes more competitive and fragmented, securing coverage is no longer enough. Brands need clear narratives, strong timing, and data-informed strategy behind every pitch. This shift has created a need for dedicated media strategy expertise across client accounts.

Tim’s promotion shows that evolution and the agency’s dedication to leading it.

Over the past four years, Tim has consistently delivered high-impact media results, pairing strong journalist relationships with a sharp ability to identify story angles that resonate. His work has not only secured meaningful coverage but also influenced how clients position themselves in the market. This new role formalizes that impact.

“Tim brings a level of strategic thinking to media relations that is critical in today’s environment,” said Darren Easton, Vice President and Creative Director at The Cyphers Agency. “As an agency, we are focused on building deep expertise within our team, and Tim is a strong example of that.”

Tim currently leads media strategy and execution for several of the agency’s priority clients, including the Glass Packaging Institute, a trade association representing the North American glass container industry; the Flexible Packaging Association, the industry voice for U.S. flexible packaging manufacturers and suppliers; CovingtonAlsina, a financial planning and Adventist HealthCare, where he supports executive visibility for Patsy M. McNeil, M.D., MBA, FACEP, Executive Vice President and System Chief Medical Officer.

In his expanded role, Tim will:

  • Lead proactive, strategy-first media engagement across key client accounts
  • Shape data-informed narratives that align with industry trends and media priorities
  • Guide outreach strategy and performance reporting to optimize results and inform ongoing approach
  • Build and deepen strategic relationships with key media

“Over the years in my career in public relations, I’ve seen the role of media relations evolve,” said Tim Wright, Media Relations Strategist at The Cyphers Agency. “It’s no longer just about pitching stories; it’s about identifying the right narratives, backed by data and insight, and delivering them at the right time. I’m excited to help lead that shift and elevate how our clients show up in the media.”
